Designing text logo using CorelDraw

Using CorelDraw to benefit from the vector image and export into the multiple dimensions including website logo, Twitter, Youtube Channel, Goolge+ and Facebook. The cover photo and art photo for the Youtube channel would not be possible if the vector image is not available to edit for the required dimensions.

Our team tried to make it simple and max two colors logo only. Trying different colors were not helpful but just the helpful color pallets importing from Google materials design. Google color pallets demonstrating lots of similar color divisions into different color variations look of the same color.

The colors used in the above-mentioned logo is the Teal 600 and Teal 300. Which is the similar color but in different color variation making dark and light color. Check steps using CorelDraw to design 2-color Logo intersecting horizontally.

Step #1: Adding Text using Text Tools

  1. Click on the Text Tools
  2. Type the Text
  3. Click on BOLD icon

Step #2: Intersect Text Horizontally

  1. Click on Rectangle Tools icon
  2. Draw a Rectangle
  3. Place the Rectangle in middle of the TEXT horizontally
  4. Select TEXT and Rectangle together
  5. Click on the Intersect icon

Step #3: Color lower part of the Text

  1. Select lower intersect part of the Text
  2. Add color by clicking color pallets
  3. Right-click on the same color for text outline

Step #4: Color upper part of the Text

  • Select upper intersect part of the Text
  • Add color by clicking color pallets
  • Right-click on the same color for text outline
